And I, because of their actions and their imaginations, am about to come and gather all nations and tongues, and they will come and see my glory.
Has God been putting on your heart to be involved in what He is doing in Africa, to be a blessing to His people and to be blessed!? There are many opportunities to join in His good work. Here are some ways:
Create a Short-term Missions Team
You can organize a group from your church, organization or friends who would like to go as a team to serve in Africa. Usually, teams should have approximately 4-8 members and go for 2-4 weeks (dates and schedule to be discussed with African Leadership). The team will need a leader, someone who will facilitate the training sessions, communicate with African Leadership, make sure the logistics are covered and work with local/foreign coordinators and missionaries when in Africa.
Join a Short-term Missions Team
There are Combined Teams throughout the year, bringing together people from all over North America and the world to serve in Africa. The 10-week training and preparation can be done online or by other means if it is impossible for team members to meet. The dates will generally be set by African Leadership, but exact time schedules can be discussed by the team members. Short-term trips are approximately 2-4 weeks long.
Short-Term Timeline:
- Complete and submit an application, Statement of Commitment and Statement of Faith
- Ten Session Pre-Trip Training
- Short-Term Mission Trip
- Two Session Post-Trip Debriefing
Serve for a Longer Term
