God answered all 8 children’s church camps — Young Ohm‏

Children's Camp

Thank You! Thank you so much. I never realized how much joy building the
kingdom with you and God brings to my heart.
The urgent prayer request, about the lack of funds for the 8th children’s
camp, has been granted through your prayers and support. Your love and heart
for the children here showed God’s heart to embrace these children. The camp
was completed last week in His grace and I thank you for your prayers and
support. “Lord! Hear and receive our praise. And bless these hands that give
and pray and let them be the children that know your plans and become the
cornerstone of your kingdom!”

The children who attended these 8 camps counted about 1000. These children
who live in poor and poverty filled areas have left this reality for the
first time in their lives. They arrive with their blankets and clothes for
the few day trip, their faces filled with anticipation and excitement no one
can express in words. It fills me with Joy. Although the facilities of the
camp are not all that great, these children seem to feel loved and more then
content. These children, who are looked down on and considered a burden in
their homes, are served their food before the teachers and by the teachers
themselves. They feel this strange but soon realize that this is love that
God has for them. They are precious to Him. They sit listening intently to
be sure not to miss any words God is teaching them. I look through the camp.
I see the children who sit and chat with their friends, I see those who
dance and sing, I see the smiles and excitement when learning a new game, I
see the youngsters who are too young to join, but laugh and find joy in just
watching or just copying from a distance. I also see the teachers who have
to run about to keep the excited children under control, the children
preparing for the talent show and the people sweating in the kitchen in order
to feed these children. This is God’s Kingdom. This year’s camp theme was
PRAYER. I saw God wanting to talk to these children.
“Lord! You are standing near to these children; let these children
experience you. Often in Life when things get tough and they feel like they
do not know where they are going, stand by them and encourage them. Help
them to know you are near. They are your children. Help them to make knowing
you, and becoming like you the priority of their lives”
Please pray with us:
1. Please pray that the children will continue to pray and grow to become
like you so that they can establish God’s Kingdom.
2. The children¹s churches are growing. We currently have about 120
churches and I pray that the joy of the teachers and coordinators involved
will continue to grow and that this ministry will be able transform this
community into His kingdom, which dreams His dreams.
3. Many of the children’s churches have now begun a youth program and
soccer teams. Please pray for more people to commit to this ministry as we
are short of staff.
4. Every month we are holding a preschool teacher’s seminar. Please pray
that through this the teachers will be able to see the children with His
eyes and teach them with His heart and love.
5. We have, for the first time ever, held a bible college camp. For many
of the students who attended it was the first time that they have ever read
the whole of the New Testament. They were filled with unspeakable joy.
Please pray that they will be able to live a bible-centered life.
6. We have put Pastor abenago in charge of a church in sentubi, Transkei.
This church was started by evangelism with the team. Many people will need
to meet with God here; please pray for the pastor and the many souls that
will be given to God and grow with Him. Many of these people live tied down
in ancestor worship. Lord! Proclaim your salvation in this land.
7. The Madagascar pastors’ training is being planned. A pastor from the
US is coming around to talk of evangelism. We have planned to hold this
conference in two different cities with about 300 pastors and church
leaders. Please pray that this will be an opportunity that will change
Madagascar, and that God will be leading the process of planning and
preparing for conference. At the moment Madagascar has not yet found Bibles
for Madagascar. Please pray that there will be someone who loves Madagascar
and will begin to print Bibles over there.
8. We are now planning to expand the Montessori crèche into the township
areas and so are looking for land to build a crèche. Please pray that this
will work out smoothly and that through this crèche many children will be
able to meet God and learn of His love.

Urgent prayer and support request / young ohm‏

Urgent prayer and support

Thank you so much for your continuous prayer, interest and support. Becauseyou are always with us in prayer we strive on towards building His kingdom. And because it is you my brothers and sisters I have brewed up the courageto ask for urgent prayer and support. God loves all His people, but He especially loves the little children. TheChildren¹s churches here have been seeing great growth, and now there arechildren¹s churches in 120 areas over Khayelitsha.Seeing around 6000 children meet every week, and about 100 teachers at theseminars, we here can see a little into God¹s heart when he said, ³ Do notstop the little children from coming to meвWe are also reminded, through every Kids camp we hold, that we have to belike those little children to enter into heaven. At these camps Gods lovefor the children is being engraved into our hearts. This year¹s camp theme is Œprayer¹. We hope that through prayer the childrencan talk to God and seek Him and His vision and plan for them.Last week, by His grace, we had two camps, one with 150 children and anotherwith 100 children. And this week, 14 Children¹s churches combined togetherto have a camp with a total of 150 children. Already at the beginning of thecamp the bus rented was not enough to take the children, so the missionariesdrove back and forth many times to get the children to the campsite. Thechildren¹s faces are full excitement and anticipation as for most of them itis the first time they are going away from home and they have been waitingon this day already from the beginning of the yearŠ This year we have planned to hold 8 of these precious camps, but currentlywe have only the funds for 6 of these camps and are short of about $4500 forthe other two. For one camp, 2 nights and 3 days, for 150 children andteachers, each child needs about $15. About 300 children are waiting inexcitement and anticipation for their camp, but to say to them that it willnot be happening due to short funds seems unfairŠJust a little support from everyone can make the camp happen for thesechildren. We here are praying in faith that God will fill the funds for thecamp, and continue to plan for the children¹s camps. Please walk with us bydonating and helping us co-workers in Christ. Praise be to God for your helping hands! Short-Term Missionaries

mission teams 2011 05

I would like to greet you in the Name of our Lord and with this kind of
prayer.
“Lord! I feel a smile spread across my face as I call you Father.
I am filled with joy as I think of Jesus and I feel steadfast and secure, as
you have given me purpose here on this land.
As Your holy spirit is with me, I am your kingdom.
I see you kingdom here on this earth.
Thank you. Thank you for letting this worthless servant proclaim your
kingdom here in Africa. Thank you”

At the moment we are preparing for the short-term missionaries to come. The
German team has already come in April and between June and December we will
be having 6 more mission teams coming to do ministry. Most of our ministries
have been either started by or developed by the short-term mission teams
throughout the years. So we wait in anticipation, and are already excited to
see the works that He will do through the teams that he has so carefully
chosen for His works here in South Africa.
In preparation for the Mission teams to come we are busy renovating and
fixing up the mission homeŠ as we paint the walls and stand on the roof
plugging up the leaks and cracks we think of all the teams that will be able
to have their rest, within these walls and under this roof, after a long
hardworking day with the Lord. As we paint the walls white, the house seems
to take on Jesus¹ purity, as we fix the roof, his peace is felt and as we
scrape off the moss and dirt from the walls we too feel renewedŠ I am
gratefulŠ
This years¹ missions teams will be establishing new children¹s churches,
doing holiday programs for the children, camps for the teachers and
children, door to door evangelism, visiting schools to spread his word, and
build preschools as well as have time with the children to share His love
with them. I pray that they will be teams of people who have come in search
of Jesus, those who want to be a witness for this kingdom and those who will
do ministry as Jesus didŠ
³Lord! We wait in anticipation and excitement to see the kingdom that you
will build with the teams, see the kingdom that you proclaim through the
teams and the Love and blessing that you will pour out on this land through
these teams.²

This is my prayer: that we as missionaries, short or long term will be able
to fulfill our core taskŠ to share the gospel, the good news of our risen
king and savior, of eternal life and the chance to be a part of God¹s great
family, to be one with him, to feel his love and presence on youŠ To share a
common dream with God, that all here in Khayelitsha will be able hear this
good news and praise God as one family.
This is the day when everyone will be able to see more than just glimpses of
His KingdomŠ Everywhere people will hear the gospel, love and care for one
another, they will forgive one another, encourage and give hope to one
another and together we will worship and glorify his nameŠ
³Lord! Jesus, who took on the cross for these million people of Khayelitsha,
use us, your servants, to bring this your kingdom into this land. Be with
us, lead usв

Please pray with us:
1. 1. That we, who will be working with the short-term mission
teams will have wisdom
2. That we will go to each house that we visit in anticipation,
excitement and with a grateful heartŠ
3. For the new children¹s church that has been established in makhasa.
4. For the children¹s and teacher¹s camps that will take place in June.
5. That the students of the Motor mechanic school will be able to learn
God.
6. The cold and rainy winter is approaching, please pray for the bible
college students, who work in the day and study at night, that they will
experience the warmth and courage that God gives. Please also pray that the
people of Khayelitsha who live in informal houses where the cold weather
hits them hardŠ
7. That all the missionaries and local leaders who work with us will be
able to experience and find God everyday, that their ministries will be
handled with love and done in faith, and lastly for their health and safetyŠ

Thank you for your continuous prayer and supportŠ

Trip to Transkei

 Transkei 2011 04eng

Our Loving Lord Jesus has risen from the dead. He has come to us to give the
hope of resurrection. He wants the resurrection to be revealed on the land
of Africa. With your prayer and love, Africa will be healed, the Lord will
be risen, and His kingdom will come in Africa. It is our strength, joy and
thanks that you are in this ministry with us.

With the team from Germany, we made a trip to Transkei, where 24 people
accepted Jesus into their lives. We read again and again the names of these
people that will be written in the Lord¹s book of life, and prayed in thanks
that the Holy Spirit will guide them through the rest of their lives on the
Lord¹s path.

On the day when we couldn¹t leave to evangelize due to bad rain and cold,
we prayed instead. On the day we were returning from the trip, it rained and
the car slipped into a pool of mud. In the rain, we were dragging and
pushing the car. Many of us ended up with aching bodies. In spite of this
situation, all of us thanked, and praised the Lord for the work He was
doing.

One youth was seeking for the meaning of life. When we told him that the
true meaning can be found in Jesus only, he accepted Jesus into his heart.
One old lady thought that she was not beautiful anymore with countless
wrinkles on her face. We told her that she was beautiful, and that if she
had the heart of Jesus, she will be truly beautiful in the eyes of God, with
which conviction she surely accepted Jesus. We told the gospel to one
shamanist that all ancestral ghosts are false gods, that it is Satan in
disguise who makes us fear and turn us into slaves. She didn¹t accept Jesus
there, but since we were allowed to put our hands on her to pray, we
commanded the Satan to go away in the name of Jesus of Nazareth. Lord!
Proclaim salvation! Lord, salvation is in you. Have pity on these people
they have accepted Jesus into their hearts.

Please pray:
1. Sunday school: May the leaders of 120 Sunday schools be able to see the
Lord¹s dream and vision, and be in charge of the ministry in the image of
our Lord. Let there be 120 committed people who will adopt, pray for and
sponsor the 120 Sunday schools.

2. Preschool: Give thanks to our Lord who has allowed the 23rd Preschool to
be built by the German team. May the precious little beings be nourished
with the words of the Lord, and know the Lord¹s love through this preschool.

3. School ministry: May those who are spreading the Gospel in the 8 school
locations share the Lord¹s heart and His words effectively.

4. Rural Theology schools and African Theology College: May the theological
training of the Ethiopian refugees take place without difficulty, and may
pastoral training centers be built in each rural regions.

5. Automobile repair/maintenance center: There are 14 students in training.
May these students love the Lord and handle the vehicles like they handle
people.

6. Madagascar: May there be English teachers be found at the evangelism
event taking place at the end of August.

7. Malawi: The pastoral seminar to take place in the latter term is focused
on leadership. May we find a leader who will take charge of this seminar.

8. Family: Both Kyung-Hwan and Mi-Jung are attending university. Thanks to
our Lord for raising and guiding them, and may they continue to study and
prepare with the dream and hope for His kingdom.

Pastors’ theological training seminar in Malawi

Malawi 2011 march

Lord! Glory, Glory be given unto You. Thanks to your prayers I have returned from the Pastors’ theological training seminar in Malawi, and not even the deadly mosquitoes or the heatcould stop us from sharing the Gospel. Thank you so much. Following lastyear we had 37 pastors come to Mulanje, a city in the southern region ofMalawi, to attend the seminar. This training was for the pastors who hadalready received basic theological training and starting from last year, wehave had 2 successful training sessions about the concept of God¹s Kingdomand Evangelism. This was the third in which we dealt with Biblical researchthrough critical thinking and the realistic applications to God¹s Kingdom.Even though they held the already translated version of the Word, many couldnot make the Word their own and thus many churches remained unmoved andunacquainted to the Spiritual enrichment of the Bible. The seminar wasfocused on exactly that problem; To allow pastors to approach the Bible witha critical mind and to interpret the Word for themselves with the help ofthe Holy Spirit and also to learn to realistically apply it to themselvesand those around them. It was purely amazing and so moving. All the pastorsfell deeply into the Word, truly learning God and finding Him through theWord. It was truly the works of the Holy Spirit and made me rejoice. As time passed the trainees started asking critical questions about God¹sWord from many angles and just watching them rediscover God, I knew thatthese are the men that are going to change the world. One pastor confessed,³I have now been reborn. Through the Power given to us through the Word, andthe Power given us through God the author of all things I have been rebornand I shall work to revive my church; that all there will also be reborn.² Pastor Kim from Canada came and spoke powerful words through the Gospel ofJohn. Also, we spoke much of the Goodness of God¹s Kingdom: ³The start of one day; For The Kingdom. While leading a church; For The Kingdom.Family; For The Kingdom.Sleep; For The Kingdom. We eat; For The Kingdom.Send our children to school; For The KingdomŠ ³ I am confident that God has worked through these 5 days of training for thepastors and that God¹s Kingdom will be established and extended in the landof Malawi. We also discussed the topic of rivalry between churches and thatthere is no rivals in the Kingdom of God and that we should all praytogether for the spiritual enrichment and growth of other churches as wellas your own.God! Malawi is Yours. Work through Your servants and establish Your eternalKingdom in Malawi. Prayer Requests:

1. That the Pastors in Malawi would constantly rediscover God through theBible and that they would discover His purpose, and that they would bewitnesses of God to their people.

2. That the theological seminars through which Pastors will be trained willbe blessed by God and that it would function only through the Hands of Godso that the Theology of Africa would grow in His Hands. Also, that theservants who work towards this would understand Africa and God¹s purpose forAfrica.

3. That the pastors of Malawi, in amongst all the denominational rivalry andcompetition, would realize that they need to work together and fight thereal enemy and not each other.

4. That God grant the churches of Malawi the strength of faith and mind torighteously interpret so that they would be able to lead the people ofMalawi, who worship their ancestors, to God.

5. That poverty would not be interpreted as shame. Also that the Churcheswould be able to stand and make decisions for themselves and that they woulddream to be churches who send missionaries to help other countries.

6. We prepare the next theological training seminar focusing on Leadership/Reading through the whole Bible/ Community development/ God¹s vision. ThatGod will provide us with speakers and a church to financially support thisseminar. “Malawi!!! You are God¹s Kingdom.”

Please shout these words together withus as you keep Malawi in your prayers. For The Kingdom!

Blessings be upon youin the Name of Jesus Christ who has invited us to His Eternal Kingdom. Thank you. Thank you for your continuous love, prayer and commitment toAfrica. It is because of you that we in Africa are able to celebrate Hisbirth. This is Christmas in Africa.Last month the evangelism team was out doing door to door evangelism in anarea called Mfuleni. There we met a woman who looked uneasy and rattled. Wesat down to tell her about Jesus and the good news. She then asked us ifthere was really hope in Jesus. We told her that ŒPeople are all sinners andwithout Jesus there is no hope.¹ The woman invited us to her house where wefound stacks of bottles of alcohol. She had been planning a suicide. Herlast boyfriend had beat her, she had been unemployed, there was no food, nomoney and her new boyfriend now beat her tooŠ Life was not worth living. Shehad planned to drink herself to death, but she met us. She met Jesus, theone with true hope. The Lord has come to give true hope, He is the livingHope and this living hope has come into the woman¹s life. A true Christmashad come to the woman¹s life. Siya is a young adult who has been living in amidst alcohol, drugs andsmoking. He has been smoking since Grade 2, and in his high school years hewas caught doing drugs by the school headmaster who then as punishment senthim to one of our youth ministries. At first he seemed unhappy as he hadbeen forced to attend these meetings but soon he started to enjoy it and notonly became a regular attendee but a leader of a group. After accepting theLord he became a Sunday school teacher and now manages 3 Children¹schurches, youth bible studies, and soccer teams to expand God¹s kingdom.Recently he came to me and said that he had stopped smoking, Jesus¹ love hasallowed him to stop the addiction that had held him since Grade 2. He hasdecided to study theology next to be able to fully serve the lord. Christmashas come to Siya¹s life. Jesus is born in Siya¹s life and little by littlehe is growing. ŒProclaim this good news to the world! There is nothing more precious, andnothing in this world can replace Him. Please pray with us.³Lord! Lord who came to this world in humility! Preschool graduations

“We live forever. We are the citizens of the eternal Kingdom.”
As I watch the kingdom of God being built here in Africa I remember all your
Love, Prayers, commitment and support; the kingdom of God is being
established by these things and all I can do is thank and praise God.

Preschool graduations:
In the month of November there has been a graduation every weekend. The
small children in graduation gowns, their faces filled with joy when their
certificates with their faces on them are presented to them, the lively
performances and the loud applause from the proud parents, and finally the
good news of God proclaimed to the people. This is the kingdom of God. Lord!
Put inside the hearts of these children and their parents your kingdom and
let them be able to become the building blocks, the future of your kingdom
here in Africa.

At the Masibambane preschool graduation the community leader gave a speech,
the preschool was built in 2003 and many children from the community have
and are attending the preschool, some children are already in high school
and have grown up to become fine young adults. This is the hope of our
community.
Lord! These young children have learnt you, they confess that you are God
the creator of the heavens and the earths, and the sing that our only hope
is in you. Lord I pray that you will not let these confessions and praises
fall to the ground, that it will glorify you and that you will help them to
beat the poverty, pain, crime, AIDS and the circumstances and become the
beacon of light to this community.

Olwethu (children¹s church teacher):
Olwethu is a high school student. He was a student of the Children church
that she now teaches and leads. During his December break he wants to god to
Transkei and do children and youth ministry for the people there. Seeing the
burning heart of a young student, I see the image of God.
We have told him to raise half of the funds that he will be needing for the
ministry. Although it is almost impossible to raise funds in this area where
money and finance are limited, we believe that God wants to see the burning
hearts of his people. In preparation for his work and glory Olwethu has
begun to fundraise in faith. Let us all pray together that his heart for
Christ will be humble expressed and accepted by the people, children and
youth, of Transkei and that through His kingdom would be further
established in Transkei.

Please pray with us:
1. The children graduating from the 21 preschools are going to school next
year. Please pray that these children would remember the word of god taught
to them and that they would be able to live by it in their daily lives and
become little ambassadors of Christ. That they would become the future and
hope not only of their community but for the whole of Africa.
2. The 22nd preschool is currently being built. Please pray that the
construction would be completed well and that a good teacher for the
preschool is found so that the preschool can open in January.
3. There are 10 graduates of the bible college in Khayelitsha and a further
6 graduates in Queenstown who are graduating next week. Please pray that
these graduates will be able to apply and correctly teach the word of God
and lead the church in His will.
4. There are now 107 children¹s churches. This means that about 6000
children gather in various spots around the township to learn to God¹s word.
We dream of changing the million people living in khayelitsha through these
children. Please pray that these children will build God¹s kingdom and that
this dream becomes a reality.
5. There is movement in the youth that grow from the children¹s church.
There are about 11 children¹s churches with bible studies going on and about
4 with soccer teams. Please pray that God¹s kingdom will grow with the
expansion of the children¹s church into a youth gathering.
6. In December Catherine(short term missionary) and missionary Joy will be
going to Madagascar to teach English and to help with their children¹s
ministry. Please pray that through them God¹s word will be spread and that
their sacrifice, commitment and love will express Go love, passion and heart
for the people of Madagascar.
7. Priscilla is preparing to go to the university of cape town (UCT). She
has grown up in Africa and now will continue her studies here. Please pray
that she will be able to do her studies in grace and thanksgiving, loving
and embracing both Africa and God¹s kingdom, and that she will be able to be
used to the expansion and building of his kingdom.

Malawi evangelism training report (Young Ohm‏)

For the Kingdom!!!

Thank you for your prayer and love for Africa and our ministry. It is
through your prayer and love that God does amazing things in Africa. I thank
the lord for giving me the privilege of walking this road, for Africa, with
you. And am grateful for your commitment and passion that keeps us here in
Africa continuous strength and wisdom to continue His work.

The Lord has proclaimed salvation upon Malawi. He wants the whole nation to
hear the gospel; The Lord has taken up the cross for all; that each and
every one may be saved.

I visited Malawi the past week of Oct 2nd to 9th. Malawi is a country
sharing a border with South Africa, and is about 4 hours, by plane, away
from cape town. The country is hot and poverty-stricken, and used to be a
region with highest incidence of AIDS.

Through the last couple years of ministry with TK in African mission, there
are altogether 90 pastoral training centres established. Eighty-eight of
those people who are guiding and teaching at these teaching centers gathered
for the pastoral training. Seeing 1800 graduates from the last couple years,
we have confidence and faith that, with the work of these graduates, Malawi
will be changed to a new land of God¹s kingdom. These 88 people went through
evangelism training together. With pastor Gene, the lecturer we had invited
for the event, we started the lecture series and evangelism training on
Sunday evening and ended on Thursday.

Friday was the evangelizing day. Picturing our Lord seeking for the lost
souls, we all went out and evangelized in pairs from 9am to 3pm, fasting
lunch. We were very passionate while practicing and memorizing the words of
God during evangelism training, and now at this site of evangelism, I saw
His trained soldiers with victory before them, working hard all over the
region. I saw that the Lord had raised the flag of salvation. The Lord
surprised all of us. It was the presence of the Holy Spirit, its power
unfolding before our eyes.

Back when the church had begun, 3000 people had believed and followed the
Lord in one day. And now many year later, on this day, 1868 prayed to accept
Jesus. They confessed they were sinners, accepted the cross of Jesus as what
happened for themselves, and experienced the love and grace of God.

The report of the evangelists reminded of those that the disciples brought
to Jesus. The Lord uses Œme¹. The Lord had converted even the Muslims. Those
who worshipped ancestral ghosts, now believed that they could go to heaven
only through Jesus. Those who were waiting for friends that never came, now
accepted Jesus who would be their eternal friendŠ there were those who
brought their whole family after accepting JesusŠ these were moments that
left profound impressionsŠ

Please pray:

1. Lord, may you accept the devotion of those pastors who have gone through
evangelism training, confirmed, committed, and returned to their respective
homes. May you proclaim salvation through them, and increase the number of
people seeking the Lord through these people. May Malawi be your kingdom!

2. May the heat of the gospel not cool down, and may we witness the living
Lord Jesus through the presence and grace of the Holy Spirit, that God¹s
church may grow and mature.

3. May the trained 88 pastors be trainers and evangelists at their churches
and training centers. May they be witnesses of the word, the word that the
Lord would father multitude of nations, from the West, East, North and
South.

4. Though pastoring in the most difficult, challenging and poor conditions;
may they have the confession that they live eternally, and be witnesses of
faith who live in the world but have overcome the world.

Evangelism School

For His Kingdom,

Missionary Young Ohm

God spared my life once again!!! (Young Ohm‏)

The Lord has saved us.

Over the last 14 years, there has been many hardships, but there has been
even more times of happiness and joy that can only be expressed as God¹s
grace. Out of the 14 years of our ministry, these last few months have
proved to be the most challenging, but at the same time it has been the time
when His love and grace were most felt and a time when we experienced the
Lord¹s presence with a thankful heart. I thank the Lord that you, my fellow
brothers and sisters, are with us with love and in prayer. Lord, I love and
thank you with all of my heart.

What happened:

I had been in great anticipation for the ministry and works that God will do
with the arriving short term mission team when a fever hit me. I had just
sent off one of the teams after ministry here and was preparing to leave
with another when the fever hitŠ the team that must have worked so hard and
in so much anticipation of God¹s works to be done hereŠ but even with this
knowledge I wanted to give up, I felt the limit of my physical being and put
it before the Lord. But the Lord gave me strength to carry onŠ Then followed
the complete breakdown of my computer that had been fine just moments
beforeŠ The transport organized for the team suddenly coming down with
excessively high costsŠ The uneasiness in the airport newly found airport
taxiŠ The transport to take us to the airport the next day not arrivingŠ
Loosing luggage on arrival in MadagascarŠ The state of the accommodationŠ
Having to pass on a sermon due to the feverŠ The overnight trip with nothing
to eatŠ increase in accommodation costsŠ The local food and the costs
thereofŠ The seminar that lacked preparation and attendanceŠ Having worship
in the midst of the sounds of the muslim¹s Ramadan prayersŠ Not being
allowed to use the prepared place for our ministry, and the alternative
place¹s stacks of rubbishŠ The long 12 hour road trip to and from the placeŠ
The frustration that resulted from putting oneself before others, or God¹s
ministryŠ The latenight conflict that occurred with the short term teamŠ
The unexpected words that were not thought through and hurt the team and the
resulting awkward atmosphereŠ the electricity cut during the seminarŠ The
incident of missing the team due to the late ending service and arrival of
the bus and early departure of the teamŠ Then the arrival to South Africa
for the Ethiopian pastors training, and the lack of attendanceŠ meeting
robbers and losing everything and getting away with opur livesŠ Going to the
hospital due to the sick members of the teamŠ Cancelling the seminar due to
the robber incidentŠ The injuries from the robber¹s blows that made eating
difficult and the inner pain felt when needing to swallow pieces of a
hamburger as chewing was made impossible and when no one was there to
sympathize or soothe my painsŠ The hunger felt after the seminar that could
not be dealt with as everything had been lost when robbedŠ The flight ticket
that had to be re-bought due to wrong bookingŠ The misunderstanding between
people and the resulting hurtŠ

These are the incidents that we went through in just two weeks. One couldn¹t
understand or explain all this through logic or the human mind. Then why?
For God, the people and allow us to serve in the expansion of God¹s kingdomŠ
To show the world, Jesus¹ love shown on the crossŠ It was a part of God¹s
good works, for those who are willing to serve… for those that put the God
and His kingdom firstŠ

I looked back on these incident that I could not quite understandŠ I read
the scriptures (psalm 60-67) and I prayed and prayed..(Lord! I am your
servant. Please grant me your heart and understaning), I pray on as I look
for the grace that he has given meŠ The Lord says, ³I am the Lord²Š He is my
lord and he is with usŠ and he also says, ï will do good works through youŠ

God has proclaimed victory. The gospel is continuing to spread across the
lands. The discipleship book has been translated and the first classes are
on their wayŠ the Gospel is spreading through a city, a city where most
people are muslimsŠ The new formed relationships with the localsŠ a heart of
prayer that God has given us after meeting the robbersŠ the sincere heart of
sympathy and love that God gave us towards the robbers rather than hatredŠ
the grace He gave us to be able to hide our hurt and be able to serve the
other till the endŠ Especially God¹s presence to take our sorrows awayŠ His
gift of fellow workers and a loving wifeŠ The experience of his kingdom in
the seminar where I was teaching of the kingdom the day after the incident
of robbersŠ God is victory. He has promised to be with us till the ends of
the earth. He is the Lord of the History and the present.

The Lord is working to achieve greater worksŠ Satan is working to disrupt
these worksŠ

Please proclaim these words with meŠ

³Satan! In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ be gone. Be gone from all of
Africa. I proclaim the victory of God over this land.²

We live forever by His grace and loveŠ

Prayer requests:

they will feel His hope and presence in hard times.
3. The children churches have been continuously growing. We are now running
over 90 and every week about 2-3 mor3e are being started. Please pray that
God will find people to adopt these children¹s churches ad support it both
financially and in prayer.

held soon. It will be held from October 3-10th in the capitol city,
